Because of the office setting and her hope of not letting colleagues see us together, she felt we needed an opportunity to be closer together - hinted at a hotel. She asked me to book a hotel. I couldn't , or rather, had some difficulty suggesting one. She suggested Novotel to me. I wasn't comfortable at first. However, she had told me before that (in Mandarin) "ni bu gou lian siang xi yu". She also ridiculed me for not giving her a hand at all when she was in a precarious position at the drain trying to pick up the tennis balls during a tennis game. (I had confided in a Japanese colleague during the game that "I'm scared". I was still scared of her. ). She appeared sincere (or rather enthusiastic) in having some closer moments together.

After work that Friday, we checked into the hotel together.

At the hotel, she became very emotional and violent on a few occasions. I was very scared. She even locked herself in the bathroom. I could only hear banging sounds - that of something hitting against the wall. After that, she was ok. I was surprised.

The next day after we checked out of the hotel, while talking on the phone, she scolded me about something very trivial. I was very devastated because she was again very violent.
